The church and reception are about 35 minutes apart, with a few unhurried hours in between. Take your time getting from Villanova to Bryn Athyn — a few ideas along the way.
You're already at Villanova — take a wander through the leafy grounds and the gardens around St. Thomas of Villanova Church before heading north.
Get a head start on the toasts at a Main Line favorite — Kelly's Taproom, a longtime Villanova haunt in Bryn Mawr, or The Grog just down the road. Both are an easy stop on the way out of Villanova.
Minutes from the church: a walkable main street of cafes and shops, and the historic Wayne Hotel bar — an easy place to relax before heading north.
Plenty of spots for a late lunch or coffee, roughly between the two venues. (Dinner isn't until the evening, so a snack is a good idea.)
Prefer to take it slow? Head to your hotel, freshen up, and arrive at Cairnwood relaxed and ready for cocktails at five.

Philadelphia International (PHL) is closest — about 25–30 minutes to the Radnor / Villanova area.
Amtrak runs to Philadelphia's 30th Street Station. From there, SEPTA's Paoli/Thorndale line stops at St. Davids, Radnor, and Villanova.
The two venues are about 35 minutes apart, so a rental car or rideshare is handy. Free parking everywhere.
